Hi, I’m Piper
Weeks after graduating from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law in May 2019, I sat for the Law Society of Ontario’s Barrister and Solicitor exams. Following six tense weeks of waiting for the results, I was informed that I’d failed both exams. I had never felt so defeated. The thought of reattempting these difficult exams was overwhelming, especially during my articling term. I re-wrote the Barrister exam in November 2019 and the Solicitor exam (online) in June 2020. I passed both exams and was subsequently called to the Ontario bar.
I first received my bar materials on April 22, 2019 and found out I’d passed the Solicitor exam on August 11, 2020. I spent over fifteen months (or 477 days, to be exact!) consumed by all things related to the bar exam. You can read more about my story here.
I have written the exam in-person and was one of the first to write the exam online. I have tried, failed and succeeded with many different studying methods. I have dealt with the emotional toll these exams can have on your body and mind. If push came to shove, I could likely recite the Professional Responsibility materials to you from memory (just kidding, but I did read those 140-ish pages 7 times). Most importantly, I have made it to the other side of these exams and want to help you make it through your licensing journey.
Let’s work together to dramatically shorten your learning curve and have you feeling ready to tackle these exams from the very first moment you sit down with the materials. I will listen to your concerns, learn your study habits and incorporate my knowledge to coach you through this final step in your licensing process. Whether you’ve just opened your materials for the first time or you’ve already unsuccessfully attempted the exams, I am here to help. Studying for the bar doesn’t need to be a painful process, contact me and I will help you make this journey easier.
